XLP significantly improves the communication performance and outperforms the traditional layered protocol architectures in terms of both network performance and implementation complexity.

The power generated by a solar panel is directly related to the level of solar radiation falling on it. The most advanced solar panels convert 20% to 25% of irradiance energy, besides, a steady panel has a decrease in its production and in certain moments of the day it doesn't produce. Therefore, it is necessary get more radiation to increase the generated power by the panel and a system able to follow the sun's movement could improve efficiency in this point. But the cost is an important variable to consider due to the enhancement of the final system. In this book, a new sun tracker system for two axes converter panels was presented. The proposed system was designed, implemented and practically tested. The performance results were compared with that of a fixed panel system. Experimental results show considerably higher output voltage and provide more electrical energy.Results show promising achievements for industrial photovoltaic systems, solar power.Using this method, during long time results in more productivity and dramatically improvement in the efficiency of solar panels and maximizing utilization of clean and affordable solar energy for domestic and industrial purposes.

Recent advances in communication technology are enabling implementation of different types of network in various environments. One such network is Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET). With the advent of the scenarios seeking infrastructure-less network with wireless nodes, security concerns have made the required personnel to mull over the MANET configuration using different protocols for various sized networks. This work is carried out to simulate the MANET using GloMoSim and to propose the enhancement in the quality of service by addressing the security concerns that loom on this specific network.The project discusses various categories of protocols proposed for the MANET, applications that are found out of this network, overview of the AODV protocol and most importantly the simulations that are carried out.

Ad hoc mobile devices heavily depend on the performance of batteries. Optimizing the power consumption is a very crucial issue. To maximize the lifetime of mobile ad hoc network, the power consumption rate of each node must be reduced. In this paper we present a novel energy efficient routing algorithm based on mobile agents to deal with the routing mechanism in the energy-critical environments. A few mobile agents move in the network and communicate with each node. They collect the network information to build the global information matrix of nodes. The routing algorithm chooses a shortest path of all nodes in all possible routes. Additionally, we compare the performance of power-relation routing protocol DSR (Dynamic Source Routing)in simulation environment. The results show that the survivability of Ad Hoc network has been better because of less energy consumption when usingour improved DSR as compare to standard DSR protocol.

This research addresses communication security in wireless sensor networks by developing the Hierarchical Key Establishment Scheme (HIKES) which provides these networks with the basic security requirements and evaluating its effectiveness by implementing on an a routing platform. HIKES allows the central authority to empower sensors to issue secrets keys to local sensors for their communications. HIKES uses a novel key escrow scheme that enables any sensor node to represent the central authority to generate all the secret keys and authenticate other sensors. HIKES localizes secret key issuance, thereby reducing the communication overhead. The key escrow scheme provides HIKES with a large a addressing mechanism. HIKES also provides source and data authentication, and is robust against most known attacks. A hierarchical routing mechanism called Secure Hierarchical Energy-Efficient Routing protocol (SHEER) that implements HIKES is proposed. Simulations have shown that HIKES provides an energy-efficient and scalable solution to the key management problem. HIKES also has low storage, and high address flexibility. Simulations show that SHEER is energy-efficient and is scalable.

Spirituality is an important part of diversity as determined by the National Association of Social Work Code of Ethics and the Education Policy and Education Standards. However, social work education is lacking in this area. Social workers report feeling unprepared and uncomfortable in addressing spirituality with clients. The purpose of this study was to compare hospice, mental health, and hospital social workers' perspectives, utilization and education on the use of spirituality in practice. A total of 41 social workers were surveyed and answers were analyzed with a Chi-Square and One-Way ANOVA. There was no difference in perspectives of spirituality between hospice, mental health and hospital social work respondents. There were some minor statistically significant differences in the utilization and training components, but overall, they were low in all three groups.

Of the 174 PW that reaches the earth’s outer atmosphere, 86 PW still reaches the earth’s surface; the other 88 PW being absorbed or reflected by the atmosphere. Using a combination of the renewable sources would provide more than enough energy for sustainability but solar alone could also accomplish this. If only 0.16% of the earth’s surface was covered with solar energy conversion systems that were at least 10% efficient, the energy requirements would be satisfied.
