Nowadays application of assisted reproductive technologies resembling milk progesterone ELISA, Ultrasonography is successfully improves our understanding on Buffalo Reproduction of Bangladesh. Milk progesterone ELISA was first introduced by Khan et al, (2008) in Bangladesh through Field Fertility Clinic Laboratory (FFC), Bangladesh Agricultural University. Recently milk progesterone ELISA is one of the regularly practiced techniques in Bangladesh to evaluate ovarian cyclicity, oestrus, pregnancy and non-pregnancy status of buffalo, which helps the farmers to maintain the profitable dairy farming.

This study is investigating the salinity level condition and its impact on land use changes using multi temporal satellite data from 1975-2014 in the three (3) unions of Shyamnagar Upazila under Satkhira District. Remote Sensing and GIS techniques both used to know the salinity effects on land use changes at present context with comparison to previous land use status. Due to saline water intrusion, Shyamnagar Upazila have faced land use conversion related problem throughout the year.

The basic set-up in the predictive regression framework associates the noisy explained variable with the lagged persistent regressor, which can be characterized as a process close to the unit root process. In my work I describe the relevance and implications of an adoption of the linear predictive regressions in forecasting the volatile stock return using the lagged variable, dividend-price ratio, which is highly persistent. Subsequently, I aim to answer questions whether the excess stock returns are predictable using dividend yields and whether the predictability is stable over time. The analysis I conduct, based on financial data, aim to detect the hypothetical presence of structural breaks in the model. In order to search for the structural instability of coefficients I construct a Wald test for each possible structural break location and investigate the accuracy of the SupWald statistic and its tabulated critical values in the framework described. Tanzania economy depends on agriculture as its main stay, but still rural farmers suffer from poor road transport and high cost of transport of products to markets. Problems in transport sector affect agricultural production in two ways. Firstly, the time and energy spent on transport related activities reduce labour productivity because the transport charges have led the price of fertilizers to be very high, hence reduces the profits which labour could get. Secondly, increased market costs as a result of inadequate and poorly maintained roads that are passed on to farmers in terms of low farm -gate price. In many food-growing areas, crops are carried in many kilometers by head to the assembly markets or roadsides. Despite the efforts made by the government concerning road transport, still there is inadequate agricultural production in rural areas. Because of this structure of human settlement and production, road transport system assumes an extraordinarily important role in the economic development of an area. The study evaluates the impact of road transport on agricultural production. It was conducted at Mikese, Kiroka, Kinole and Mkambarani wards located in Morogoro District.

Low availability of improved or hybrid seed, lack of seed multiplication capacity, low profitability and efficiency of fertilizer, lack of irrigation development, lack of transport infrastructure, inaccessibility of market and prevalence of land degradation, unfertile soil, overgrazing, deforestation and desertification are among the constraints to agricultural productivity during last period. However, in 2011 the sector grew by 9% driven by cereal production which reached a record high of 19.10 million tons in Ethiopia.

Master's Thesis from the year 2016 in the subject Business economics - Supply, Production, Logistics, , course: Agricultural Economics, language: English, abstract: This study aimed to analyze the technical efficiency of sesame production in Humera area and to identify major factors that cause efficiency differentials of smallholder farmers. The objective of the study is to measure the technical efficiency of small holder farmers in sesame production. The study was conducted using a cross sectional data collected in 2015/2016-production year from a total sample of 110 households. Cobb-Douglas function was employed to estimate technical efficiency of smallholder farmers in sesame production. The finding of the study indicated that there is inefficiency in the production of sesame in the study area. The estimation of the frontier model with inefficiency variables shows that the mean technical efficiency of farmers is 0.69 (69%). This implies that production of sesame can be increased by 31 percent given the existing technological level. This indicates that the farmers did not using production inputs efficiently in such a way that they give their maximum potential. The estimated stochastic production frontier model together with the inefficiency parameters suggests that any attempt to strengthen technical efficiency of smallholder farmers in the study area must give due attention to the improvement of the principal causes for efficiency differentials such as education, age, ...

Recent attention on the role of men in reproductive health warranted the need for becoming of responsible partners in relation to male-involvement initiatives. This study examined the role of men on some selected reproductive health issues. Logistic regression analysis suggests that approval of husband could be an important determinant whether or not a couple would use contraception. Qualitative analysis revealed that a complex web of socio-cultural factors impeded spousal communication regarding the reproductive health issues and discouraged them to take their wives to health facilities. The analysis demonstrates that male involvement in reproductive health is an important strategy to the reach demographic goals in Bangladesh. Men in Bangladesh suffer from misinformation and require factual information from relevant sources to promote and ensure men's participation in reproductive health services. The findings suggest that more pragmatic and target-oriented programmes are required to increase male involvement in reproductive health matters; this will hasten to achieve the demographic objectives of the country.

However, the trends of practices are representing the positive approach to the integrative and ethical perspectives on gender issues in commercial banks of Bangladesh over time which could be proved in future for the time being.

The aim of this study is to explore the contributing factors in improving women's survival in Bangladesh.The proposed supply and demand conceptual framework provides an explanation for analyzing the importance of improved health of women and newborns to reduce maternal and perinatal/neonatal mortality for the overall improvement of women's survival in the context of Bangladesh. Data from the Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS) and Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) are used to describe the changes in women's health situation in Bangladesh. The results show that a considerable decline in infant and child mortality has taken place over the past one decade.This is reflected in the gain in life expectancy of women of Bangladesh.The outcomes of this research could contribute to the literature for the researchers, planners and policy makers those who are working in this area.

The overall objective of this proposed research is to analyze the management and decision making of farmers in the Columbia's Farmer's Market to see the influence of social factors.

Structures cannot be created without engineering theory, and design rules have existed from the earliest times for building Greek temples, Roman aqueducts and Gothic cathedrals — and later, for steel skyscrapers and the frames for aircraft. This book is, however, not concerned with the description of historical feats, but with the way the structural engineer sets about his business. Galileo, in the seventeenth century, was the first to introduce recognizably modern science into the calculation of structures; he determined the breaking strength of beams. In the eighteenth century engineers moved away from this ‘ultimate load’ approach, and early in the nineteenth century a formal philosophy of design had been established — a structure should remain elastic, with a safety factor on stress built into the analysis. This philosophy held sway for over a century, until the first tests on real structures showed that the stresses confidently calculated by designers could not actually be measured in practice. Structural engineering has taken a completely different path since the middle of the twentieth century; plastic analysis reverts to Galileo's objective of the calculation of ultimate strength, and powerful new theorems now underpin the activities of the structural engineer.This book deals with a technical subject, but the presentation is completely non-mathematical. It makes available to the engineer, the architect and the general reader the principles of structural design.
