Though in Bangladesh the legal minimum age of marriage is 18 for girls and 21 for boys, a large proportion of marriages still occur before the legal age which creates a very negative impact on reproductive health status of women. This study aims to determine the impact of early marriage on the reproductive health status of the early married women in slum areas under Khulna City Corporation of Bangladesh. Simple random sampling technique was applied to collect data from the field. Data were collected from 150 respondents through surveys method using a structured interview schedule, in face-to-face situation. The findings of this study explicate that the majority of the women of study area, based on sample investigation, are not aware of the concept of early marriage and reproductive health. Data reveals that almost 32 percent respondents are illiterate. All the respondents were married before 18 years and they had little preference over the decision of marriage. Most of the respondents delivered their first child before 15 years old. Above, 50 percent respondents didn’t get any types of medical facility from the health personnel.

The environmental fate of sodium arsenate is not well documented. Studies to demonstrate its fate must take into account the fact that inorganic arsenicals are natural constituents of the soil, and that forms of inorganic arsenic may change depending on environmental conditions. Based on very limited data sodium arsenate is not predicted to leach significantly. The metabolism of inorganic arsenic compounds in animals is well known. The pentavalent form, such as sodium arsenate, is metabolized by reduction into the trivalent form, followed by transformation into organic forms which are excreted within several days via the urine. All animals exhibit this metabolism except rats, which retain arsenic in their bodies for up to 90 days. This book illustrates impact of Sodium arsenate on mammalian model albino mice with experimental results.

Reproductive disruptions, such as infertility, pregnancy loss, adoption, and childhood disability, are among the most distressing experiences in people’s lives. Based on research by leading medical anthropologists from around the world, this book examines such issues as local practices detrimental to safe pregnancy and birth; conflicting reproductive goals between women and men; miscommunications between pregnant women and their genetic counselors; cultural anxieties over gamete donation and adoption; the contested meanings of abortion; cultural critiques of hormone replacement therapy; and the globalization of new pharmaceutical and assisted reproductive technologies. This breadth - with its explicit move from the “local” to the “global,” from the realm of everyday reproductive practice to international programs and policies - illuminates most effectively the workings of power, the tensions between women’s and men’s reproductive agency, and various cultural and structural inequalities in reproductive health.Marcia C. In this book a group of anthropologists set out to throw new light on the dynamics of human reproduction in the world today, looking at the intricate ways that people manage their reproductive life across different cultures, and highlighting the wider meaning of human reproduction and its impact on social organization. The importance of human agency, ethnic boundaries, the regulation of gender relations, issues of fertility and infertility, the significance of children and motherhood and the problems of two large vulnerable social groups, youth and refugees, are all considered in their broader social contexts.

Reproductive disorders adversely affect the reproductive effectiveness. Anoestrus, repeat breeding, cystic ovarian disorders have been observed as the most common reproductive problems in cattle. The present investigation was carried out in Bogra district of Bangladesh to evaluate the prevalence of reproductive diseases (RDs)in dairy cows. Out of 1500 cows, 770 clinical reproductive cases were registered from individual questionnaire in four upazilas under the district of Bogra. Genotypes of cows had significant effect (P<0.05) on most RDs. The prevalence of RDs were lower in <3 years age group except anestrus. Body weight had also significant effect (P<0.05) in all RDs. The prevalence of RDs association with body condition, educational qualification of owners of farm, farming experience, floor type had similar effects and the low incidence recorded were in poor body conditions, illiterate farmer, having no farming experience and earthen floor, respectively. Extensive housing system was lowest influences on various RDs of cows at Bogra district. It concluded that, the percentage of prevalence of RDs are higher which are hindering the development of dairy enterprises in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has one of the highest densities of livestock in the world with 145 large ruminants per square kilometer. Dairy is the most important sector of livestock industry in Bangladesh that provides greater part of animal source protein for human consumption. Lifetime productivity of cows largely depends on their individual reproductive performance. In most countries, the primary objective of a reproductive control program in a dairy herd is to have each cow calve and produce a live calf in every 12 months. Like in many other countries, poor reproductive efficiency has been considered to be the major limiting factors in medium and large scale market oriented dairying in Bangladesh for achieving this goal. This book highlighted the overall reproductive efficiency in main milk pocket area of Bangladesh combining both traditional and recent measures of reproductive indexes.

The System of Education in Morocco is in Arabic till high school, whereas higher education is still conducted in French (for scientific subjects alone, literary studies are carried out in Arabic). The shift of the medium of instruction from Arabic to French may hinder students' achievement at the university and other related institutes. This division of the system of education may result in having two types of graduates: Frenchified ones who may get lucrative jobs and Arabized ones left with not well paid ones. By investigating the implications of Arabizing the system of Education on the level of achievements of first year students at the university, this research tries to shed light on a more complex issue which is the ability of these faculties to provide good quality graduates who are able to contribute to the development of the country. It attempts to investigate the impact of the shift in the medium of instruction from Arabic to French on students' achievements at the university and to look at the impact of Arabizing the system of education up to high school on the quality of university graduates, and to what extent such plan has promoted the sector of higher eduction.

Recent attention on the role of men in reproductive health warranted the need for becoming of responsible partners in relation to male-involvement initiatives. This study examined the role of men on some selected reproductive health issues. Logistic regression analysis suggests that approval of husband could be an important determinant whether or not a couple would use contraception. Qualitative analysis revealed that a complex web of socio-cultural factors impeded spousal communication regarding the reproductive health issues and discouraged them to take their wives to health facilities. The analysis demonstrates that male involvement in reproductive health is an important strategy to the reach demographic goals in Bangladesh. Men in Bangladesh suffer from misinformation and require factual information from relevant sources to promote and ensure men's participation in reproductive health services. The findings suggest that more pragmatic and target-oriented programmes are required to increase male involvement in reproductive health matters; this will hasten to achieve the demographic objectives of the country.

Beef cattle still possess important position in tropical countries. However, it has generally been accepted that heat detection in zebu cattle under tropical environment is not as obvious as that in temperate environment. Thus, heat detection is still a problem that may have effect on the reproductive performance in beef cattle. In order to improve the reproductive performance, advances in assisted reproductive biotechnology, genetic improvement, and improve in management should be incorporated to attain good calf crops. It is known that, stress due to handling may influence on the reproductive performance. On the other hand, less handling and gentle interaction with animal could improve the reproductive performance, which in return could increase the income of the farm. Therefore, the improved oestrus synchrony is related to greater pregnancy rates and hence improves the reproductive performance, which in return could increase the income of the farm. In addition, the welfare and kindness should be done for the improvement in the animal productivity.

A sophisticated design theory known as Axiomatic Design [Suh 1990] is used to embed the design of a manufacturing system into the design of the product and the product development system. The generic derivation of such an integrated design framework will allow a broad application to manufacturing and product development system design. The following paragraph outlines the background and the issues related to the motivation for this thesis. In the next step, the thesis objectives and hypothesis are stated, marking the scope and content of this academic discussion. Finally, a brief overview is provided about the content and structure of each chapter.

Seminar paper from the year 2013 in the subject Psychology - Developmental Psychology, Atlantic International University, language: English, abstract: The family system is the primary context for the child's development and undoubtedly has the greatest impact. The nature-nurture debate continues with regards the human development but this paper focuses its attention on the child's development within its family dynamic; how the child learns to socialise within the family social system and how social issues in the broader sense impact on the child's development.Beyond the primary context of the family, social interactions in the child's peer group and the schooling environment aid in moulding his social development. The impact of the school environment and peer group selection will be discussed in the course of this paper. In addition to the school environment, children make use of media devices and media input more than they did a decade ago and this may also have a profound impact on the child's perceptions of themselves and the world around them; ultimately steering their development in a particular direction. The importance and influence of family relationships, peer relationships and socialisation within these dynamics will dominate the content of this paper. Why a family dynamic? The purpose of the family unit, from its inception with our early ancestors, was and continues to be focused on ensuring the survival of the species. The national campaigns to improve the reproductive and sexual health of Malawi’s women have failed in part to achieve their goal. This is because, in breach of binding regional and international Human Rights instruments, these campaigns have excluded the participation of husbands who have a duty to share the protection and realization of this right with their wives. These husbands are excluded based on ignorance, pre-assumption and sheer disregard of the shared role couples have in the reproductive and care role of the children born in the family. This duty is all the more pronounced in Malawi’s heavily patriarchal society in which men exert a significant influence over both the public and private lives of their wives, regardless of whether their marriages are matri- or patrilineal. The writer reviewed Malawi’s health system with a view to identifying the areas in which men’s involvement in the exercise and protection of their wives’ sexual and reproductive human right may be accommodated and/or improved. This review, which is presented through the eyes of both marriage partners taken from a sample population in the Nsanje and Thyolo districts of Malawi.

Social norms are the informal laws of the society, which are sustained by social sanctions. Some social norms increase the welfare of the society, whereas others may make a significant part of the population worse-off. In India, norms related to the caste system had huge impact on the life of people, and still influence their decisions. Due to the prevalence of the caste system, the occupation of an individual used to be decided by the caste in which he was born. In modern India, caste based discrimination is illegal, nevertheless caste system has not lost its importance. One can easily find the differences in occupational structure and welfare level of upper and lower caste groups. However, the differences in occupational structure can also be found within the upper castes, suggesting that the differences may not be purely the result of caste based discrimination. The present study is an attempt to examine the direct and indirect impact of different social norms, related to caste system in India, on occupational choice. Two caste groups, Jat and Bania, are compared for this purpose. The study also examines the impact of social norms on the efficiency of different occupations.

This study measures agency among married and unmarried young women in two disparate states of India namely Tamil Nadu and Bihar. It is also analyses the association of agency and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) young women. The study utilizes data from "Youth in India: Situation and Needs, 2006-2007"survey. Bivariate and Multivariate techniques are used to understand the differentials, and factors associated with agency and Sexual and reproductive health. The Principal Component Analysis is used to compute the agency based on three indices namely decision making, freedom of movement, and self efficacy. The multinomial logistic regression is used to understand the factor associated with sexual and reproductive health knowledge. Higher Educated and economically better off women, more exposed to mass media, living in urban area have higher agency for both married and unmarried women. Findings reveals that women having higher agency are found to have higher odds of better knowledge on Sexual and Reproductive Health.

The topic of women's reproductive rights is a debated issue in politics and social ‎sciences. However, while many scholars focus on women's issues related to ‎human rights globally, little research has been done on reproductive rights in ‎Egypt. In this context, the current study was carried out in order to assess ‎women’s awareness about their reproductive rights. ‎ The study was undertaken in Alexandria Governorate on a sample of women of ‎varied age groups, marital status, educational, occupational and economic ‎backgrounds as well as obstetrical characteristics.‎ The present study explored women’s awareness as well as their exercise of ‎reproductive rights specifically in relation to the right to refuse marriage at all or ‎get married at too early age and the right to choose the husband by herself. The ‎study also explored women’s views related to the right to decide the number and ‎spacing of children, the right to use family planning services, as well as the right ‎to be free from sexual violence and marital violence. It was encouraging to find ‎out that when the aforementioned rights were discussed with respondents, the ‎majority endorsed these rights.‎

Mathematical modeling is an important tools to analyze and control the spread of infection disease in a society. One of the fundamental questions of mathematical epidemiology is to find threshold conditions that determine whether an infectious disease will spread in a susceptible population when the disease is introduced into the population. The threshold conditions are characterized by the so-called reproductive number, the reproduction number, the reproductive ratio, basic reproductive value, basic reproductive rate, or contact number. This book present the deterministic and stochastic epidemic models for HIV and study of reproductive numbers. The homotopy perturbation method and homotopy analysis method which was used to solve the linear and nonlinear differential equations. Also, the generation of stochastic models in the epidemic disease has been studied.

My goal in researching this topic was to discover the benefits of service learning for staff. The research data revealed staff members were able to see the impact of service learning on students, but they had a difficult time noticing the impact on themselves. More research is needed on how staff members perceive the impact of service learning.
